Many have written to us asking about the status of the water
rights.
Right now we are just waiting on the report from the water department
as to
how much we will have to pay in fines, if any at all. So I guess I could
say that no news is good news, because as long as we do not hear from
them
we do not have to pay anything. The same goes with the lawyer, we do
not
have to pay him the other $3,500 until the case is settled. We have
received and paid for the water rights that were required of us. All
that
we will owe when the time comes is the fines and the lawyer.
We have two new children with us in the Home. They are Eduardo,
age 5,
and his sister, Elizabeth age 3. They have been with us for a month.
They
are both on the Government (DIF) adoption list. Right now they have
a
family ready to adopt them. So we will not likely have them very much
longer. We have 18 children living with us at the Home.
The Highway Dept. has started work on the other two lanes
of highway
in front of our house. Since they are parking their machines on our
land at
night, we thought we would ask them if they would work on our drive
way. We
would like to have it paved, but before this is possible we need to
lay
down a gravel base. We have to buy the gravel, but the drivers said
they
would grade and roll the drive way free. We are now working on the drive
way. Later when the Highway Dept. starts to pave the road we will try
to
get them to pave our drive way at a reduced price. If this is not possible
we will have to pay a private company to do it.
We are now getting ready for a group of 16 to come down from
the North
Industry Christian Church, in Canton, Ohio. They will be arriving on
the
10th of March and will be here for a week. They will be doing many work
projects that we will have for them to do.
Bev and I are happy to have our son, Dan, and his daughter,
Allison,
with us this month for a visit. Dan and his wife, DarNelle have two
children, Allison and Adam. They live in Oceanside, Calif. Dan grew
up here
and graduated from high school here in Queretaro. Bev and I do not get
to
see them very much because of where they live, so it is a great blessing
for us to have them here, even if it is for a short time.
Thank you very much for the help you have given to the Home.
Without
this help we would not be able to remain in Mexico to provide a Home
for
children. God bless you.
